Best Environment & Sustainability Hack

Make an innovative hack that protects the environment or contributes to a more sustainable future! Each winning team member will receive 32-ounce Hydro Flask and a reusable and collapsible coffee cup.

Best Entertainment Hack

Dazzle us with hacks involving the entertainment/media industry, or invent a new puzzle, game, or experience! Each winning team member will receive a JBL Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Best Social Good Hack

Hack at the intersection of society and technology! Educate the community, assist a non-profit, or make anything else that benefits the community at large! Each winning team member will receive an Amazon Fire 7 tablet and an ELEGOO Penguin Bot Kit.

[Pinnacle] Best Overall Hack

Best team out of winning hacks of the four interdisciplinary prize categories will get an all-expenses-paid ticket for Pinnacle, the Olympics of Hackathons.

Description: The prize will be awarded to a project that supports our goal of emboldening young students to shape the future. An ideal project will aid in educating the next generation and making tech experiences more accessible. The key here is Education and Accessibility. [Citadel] Best Hack Using Machine Learning

Make a hack that uses machine learning! Preference is given to hacks that use ML for a finance-related project. Each winning team member will receive an Away Suitcase.

[Keystone Strategy] Best Data-based Development Story

Creating transformative, data-driven insights is Keystone’s mission. This objective will task you to do the same by turning your own data into a story. As you complete other objectives, you will likely (read: hopefully) use version control. This is your starting dataset. What insights and stories can you tell from your own development?

Domain.com provides all the domain services you need from registration to hosting to SSL certificates and beyond. Each hacker will receive a FREE domain name and year of domain privacy from Domain.com for their project this weekend, as well as Domain.com backpacks! Each winning team member will also receive a MLH 2020 Hackathon Season medal.

[UiPath/MLH] Best UiPath Automation Hack

Build an automation hack using UiPath! Each winning team member will receive a UiPath/MLH Branded Backpack and an opportunity to interview for a UiPath Internship in 2020 with high recommendation!

[MongoDB Atlas/MLH] Best use of MongoDB Atlas

Create a hack using MongoDB Atlas to host a database in the cloud! Automate the provisioning and deployment process with ease, while focusing all your efforts on your hack. Projects built using MongoDB Atlas will be eligible to win an AirCharge Plus.

[MLH] Best COVID-19 Awareness & Prevention Hack

Build a project that helps educate people about best practices for preventing the spread of novel coronavirus, nCOV-19/COVID-19, & staying healthy. MLH will donate $20 for each project in this category to the CDP COVID-19 Response Fund, and winning team members will get special recognition.

Most "Extra" Hack

Winning team with the most "over the top" hack will get some super "extra" sunglasses.

    Does your hack combine principles from across different fields? Live up to our theme and make a hack that explore the intersection of computer science with other fields!

    How creative is your hack? Try to approach the problem you are trying to solve from a novel angle!
  • Polish
    Is your hack polished? Create a hack that looks as great as it functions!
